The hall is a registered charity, currently managed by a committee made up of a small band of local volunteers.

We are always looking for new members and would welcome any new faces

We have a variety of weekly classes running in both our rooms. Vocational courses include dance classes and upholstery with weekly meetings of Mums and Tots and a Friday Tea Dance.

We have also held themed dances, Ceilidhs, plays and annual events such as Carol evenings and Christmas dances.

Our halls have been used for children's birthday parties, anniversary celebrations and wedding breakfast

Old Pool Bank Village Hall

our past

our present

Our hall was dedicated as a war memorial to all the locals who served in the Second World War. It was constructed following a grant from the government and the generosity of a local landowner, alongside fundraising efforts from the community itself. Some of the local community also gave their time and skills to help with the actual building work.

(see our history page)

HRH The Princess Mary, the Princess Royal, performed the opening ceremony on May 17th 1952.
Over the years the hall has held various community events, fairs, plays, dances etc and continues to be the centre of the community with weekly classes taking place as well as annual Christmas events.
